Purchasing Assistant

We are accepting applicants within the purchasing department. The ideal applicant will have an analytical mind set, be able to prioritise a busy work schedule while maintaining an accurate standard of work.

The employee will need to have strong math, verbal and written and computer skills. They will be able to use Microsoft Office Suite competently and be willing to learn a range of software that the department uses day to day. They will also have a keen eye for detail and pride themselves on accuracy.  The ideal applicant will go over and beyond expectations while fitting into the culture that exist within the branch.

The role is to ensure we have the right quantity of the right products in stock, at the right price. Purchasing works closely with all other departments, at the branch and support office. Responsibilities include Inventory Management, Product Research, Short dated, Missing stocks, Pricing Management, Supplier Relationships, Balancing adequate stock levels against warehouse capacity.                                                                                    

The Purchasing Department plays a key role in the success of the branch. Decisions the purchasing team make impact directly on sales, profitability and operational effectiveness. The department is also one of the underlying driving forces behind achieving our key performance indicators while growing our profitability.
