Nayland College - Nelson City - Nelson/Marlborough
The main focus of this role is the end to end accounts payable function. However, you will also be involved with the accounts receivable billings, bank & GL reconciliations and there is also scope to learn other areas of the schools’ finance functions.
Ideally you will have extensive accounting experience and be proficient in the use of Microsoft products such as Excel and Word and ideally had exposure in the use of Xero. You will have an outgoing friendly personality, who works well under pressure and can easily work autonomously completing the required tasks of the position. This is a very hands-on role, whereby you will be integral in the processing of the AP function, however on occasion you may need to assist the other two accounts staff.
Whilst this position is predominately school term time only, approximately 40 weeks per year, there will be the occasional day that you will be required to work within the holidays completing the AP functions. The hours of work are 9.00 am to 3.00pm per day.
There is potential that the hours and responsibilities of this role will be extended in the future.
The position is at Nayland College which is an established co-ed school in Stoke, Nelson with a student role of some 1000 students.
